Partner for Life

Although simply completing secondary school is a commendable task, we would like to encourage our children to reach for more. Whether it be going on to a university, trade school or starting their own business, all young adults need mentoring and a bit of financial assistance. Since orphans, upon turning 18, are no longer able to receive support from orphanages, and have no family to turn to, it can be a lonely and difficult start to adulthood. To help ease the transition, our organization supports a “partner for life” philosophy, in which we (and the children’s individual sponsors) do not end the relationship with the child simply because they are legally an adult and therefore out of the “system.” We believe that sustained mentoring and emotional support throughout a person’s life is invaluable to human development and will increase the chances of that individual becoming self-sufficient, and subsequently decrease the chance that they fall into a criminal lifestyle.

Please check back frequently as we will be posting more information on children needing sponsorship and how you can help.
